Heading for the Mountains

After leaving Tainan we set off for the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. But no journey is complete without a stop for tea. The tea from the region is Oolong, a wonderfully light brew

Then, after dark, once we arrived, after winding our way through the twisting mountain roads, it was time for dinner. All the food was excellent, but somehow after a long afternoon travelling, with busses full of books faultering on the mountain road, this one seemed especially delicious.

But we couldn't stay up too late - the next day we were getting up to greet the dawn...
