Coherent Cyclic Wave Sequences

On this page we will consider a wave with a coherent group of yang lines moving through yin space (or vice versa).

One Yang Coherent Wave Sequence

The animation on the left shows a single yang line rising up through the hexagram. This is a single unit of energy moving like a wave through the yin space of the rest of the hexagram.  This is a very different form of change to that described by the Boolean lattice. In the case of the lattice, change comes about as a result of individual lines switching their polarity.  In this case, the change is conceptualized as a yang line actually moving through the internal dimensional space of the hexagram.  The diagram here shows the yang line starting at the bottom and rising up to the top in steps. Once it has reached the top, it simply loops and starts again from the bottom.

There are six hexagrams in the sequence, all of the hexagrams from the second layer of the lattice. In the Boolean lattice, these hexagrams all connect to the base, Receptive. These hexagrams also encircle Receptive in the Chorand Sphere, forming the Artic Circle of its globe.

Two Yang Coherent Wave Sequence

This circular form of the movement, where the yang lines wrap around the hexagram structure, give the sequence shown on the right when there are two yang lines. Starting with Ascending the rotation moves the lines together until the reach the top. At the point where some of the rising yang has rotated to the bottom and some is still at the top, the hexagram Gateway connects the last stage of the rising linear sequence to the first. This role is also realized in the first facet of the Gate's own unfolding. The energy rising here is sufficently light that all the steps are broadly auspicious. This is not the case in any heavier rise.

These six hexagrams are the Tropic of Cancer of the Chorand Sphere.

Three Yang Coherent Wave Sequence

With a group of three yang lines wrapping around the hexagram the sequence showning on the left emerges. Watch this animation; can you also see it as a bubble of three yin lines moving up through the yang?

This cycle requires an effort. Peace is the resting place, the start of the cycle. Exchanging maintaining resonance the first step up is Large Rising. The next step comes about through Persevering; this is the half way step, the last auspicious step in the block rising. The next step is Negative Equilibrium, one step too far for such a massive energy (compare with the two yang wave). Gifts and Sacrifices are necessary to complete this cycle.

See it first one way, and then the other. The bubble of yin rises up from Separation until Peace is reached and a yang bubble rises until Separation again. This is the classic figure/ground perceptual paradox; it becomes even clearer in the sequences with 4 and 5 yang lines shown below, but also review the earlier sequences in the light of this perceptual toggle.

The hexagrams in this sequence form the Equator of the Chorand Sphere.

Four Yang Coherent Wave Sequence

Where four yang lines wrap around the hexagram structure, the sequence is shown on the right. In this case, so much yang energy is rising that as soon as it moves, it becomes inauspicious with the first step!

The alternative view, as a yin bubble rising through the yang, is even clearer here. Notice how these hexagrams are the Boolean opposites of the hexagrams in the Two Yang coherent wave sequence. If it is considered in this light, then links the beginning and end of the sequence.

These are the six hexagrams from the Tropic of Capricorn of the Chorand Sphere.

Five Yang Coherent Wave Sequence

Five yang lines wrapping around the hexagram structure is shown on the right. This wave is composed of the Boolean complements of the hexagrams in the single circular wave. Now this really has become a yin line moving through yang.  In the same way, compare the hexagrams in the circular wave for four yang lines with the hexagrams in the circular wave for two yang lines. Then look again at the hexagrams in the circular wave for three coherent yang lines.

This is the Antarctic Circle of the Chorand Sphere.

Comparisons

All of these wave sequences contain six hexagrams. Lets put all of them side by side to make this clear:

These waves are also the latitudinal bands of the First Chorand Sphere.
