Personal Consultation

Personal consultations are usually done in an one-to-one setting and will typically involve working through a particular problem or situation in which you require some guidance. The following description gives an outline of the process.

Initial Discussion

We begin by briefly discussing what you expect from a reading.  This ensures that we are both in agreement about the nature of the process into which we are going to enter.

The consultation proper begins with a discussion about the nature of the situation which is giving you cause for concern. You may give as much, or as little, detail as you feel comfortable with at this stage. However, bear in mind that any interpretation of the images given in the reading is initially done relative to the information that you provide. You must be honest and open about your situation for the process to work effectively.

I will take notes during this stage, but absolute confidentiality is assured. I also encourage you to take your own notes during the consultation.

Meditation

Once we have discussed the background to the situation, we take a few moments to clear our minds in preparation for performing the reading.  If you have a preferred meditation practice, then you should feel free to use that.  Otherwise, I will guide you through a simple meditation to help settle and calm your thoughts and emotions.

Crystalizing the Question

Following the meditation, I will ask you to try and crystalize you concern into a single, focused question which we will use as the basis for the reading. I then instruct you in how to do the casting, and you will throw the coins whilst I record their patterns.

Analysis

When the casting is done, I will give you an overview of the images that the coins have given us, explaining the basic nature of the symbol(s) that have been generated. With reference to one or more translations, we will also explore the details of the images that you have cast.  We will discuss the images together, exploring how they relate to your situation. I will help to clarify any obscure elements for you and also point out structural aspects of the reading that have a particular relevance to your question.

Levels of Consultation

There are two levels of personal consultation. Both involve around an hour of contact time during which the reading described above is performed.  For the basic consultation, this is the end of the process. You may take away the notes that I have made, if you wish.

For the more detailed reading, I will retain my notes and, within three days I will send you a comprehensive write-up of the consultation. In addition, I undertake to discuss further aspects of the reading with you, by email or phone, in the week following your receipt of the consultation document.

My normal fees for these are: £30 for a basic consultation and £60 for the detailed consultation. Feel free to phone me to discuss your requirements.
